Accelerated Reader Program

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computerized program that
1) allows students to take comprehension quizzes over books
2) stores the student data and
3) allows teachers to gather student data in many forms.

Immaculate Concpetion utilizes the web based version of AR called Acclerated Reader Enterprise edition . This web based verison gives our students access to over 125,000 quizzes and allows them access to new quizzes as soon as they are published. Students, parents and teachers can check if a book has an AR quiz available by going to AR's "Bookfinder" webpage.

Accelerated Reader Enterprise edition also allows parents and students to view the student's AR records from any web browser through their "Home Connect" feature. AR provides a convenient online "Home Connect" Training video to demonstrate the "Home Connect" feature. Parents also have the ability to choose to have an email message sent each time their student takes an AR quiz, giving parents the opportunity to stay current with your student's progress in 'real time'.
