School Technology

Immaculate Conception utilizes various technologies to enhance the learning environment, support the teachers in their daily activities, and facilitate communication both inside and outside the school.

The school technology features a 29-station computer lab, 5 computers in the library, iPad carts in grades K-1, and Chromebook carts in grades 2-8.  Each teacher has a laptop, an iPad and a document camera. In addition, all classrooms are equipped for instruction via either a mounted projector or a SMART Interactive Display.  Many classrooms also have additional and much-appreciated iPads made possible by generous benefactors. (Yes, that is a shameless hint! Donations can be made online at:  Donate Online.)

Our student’s learning is enhanced through various subject area computer reinforcement activities. Students use computers and iPads for the Accelerated Reading Program, educational games, and activities, word processing, creating presentations, preparing classroom projects, testing, and for research.

Technology Curriculum

Students utilize classroom devices and attend Technology Education classes.  The Technology-Education curriculum is based on our diocesan "Technology Foundation" curriculum which in turn is based on ISTE (International Society for Technology In Education) standards which include:

Content and Innovation
Communications and Collaboration
Research and Information Fluency
Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
Digital Citizenship
Technology Concepts and Operations
